Privacy policy

PinWarp is run by Ahmed Hesham Ismail, Egypt ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the PinWarp apps and this website. Contact: support@pinwarp.app.

Your location stays on your devices

We don't collect your real location or the locations you set. Locations are sent from the PinWarp app to your own iPhone only. When you search for a place, the search text goes to the map search service listed below.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Devices: an ID for your PC (a one-way hash of the Windows machine ID, so the real ID never leaves the PC) and an ID the iPhone app creates. We use these to link your plan to 1 PC and 1 iPhone and to give each PC one free trial.
• Plan and payments: your plan, its dates, and payment records (amount, date, subscription ID) sent by our payment provider. We never see or store card details.
• Trial use: the time and type of each trial use, to apply the trial limits.
• Invites and credits: who invited whom, and credits earned or spent.
• Support: the messages you send us, with your app version and platform.
• Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps short-term request logs (IP address, time) for security.

Why we use it

To provide your account and plan, prevent trial and licence abuse, answer support requests, and send emails you need (sign-up codes, password resets, support replies). The legal basis is the contract with you and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. We don't sell your data and we don't send marketing emails without asking.

Services that process data for us

• Supabase (database and sign-in) hosts the account data above.
• Brevo sends our emails.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and the downloads.
• Our payment provider (Paddle) handles checkout, billing and taxes as its own controller under its own privacy policy.
• Map services used by the app: map pictures come from OpenStreetMap, Esri or MapTiler; place search from OpenStreetMap Nominatim or MapTiler; "locate my real position" asks ipapi.co for an estimate from your IP address. These services receive your IP address and the map area or search text.

Some of these providers store data outside your country, including in the United States, under standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while you have an account. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Support messages are kept for 2 years. Password-reset and trial records are kept as long as needed to apply the limits.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account in the PC app (Account, Delete my account). This removes your account, devices, plan, credits and invite code at once. We keep payment records required by law, a record that your PC used its free trial (without your email), and support messages without the link to your account.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion at support@pinwarp.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

This website

The website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics that identify you. Fonts are served from our own site.

Children

PinWarp is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We'll update the date above when this policy changes, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
